Fair fare: new cancellation options with FLEXPLUS

Since 4 March 2021, the FTI GROUP has been offering holidaymakers new accommodating cancellation and rebooking conditions for flight package tours with the optional FLEXPLUS. The amount of the rate is based on four fixed travel price levels.

The new FLEXPLUS fare for guests of FTI Touristik and BigXtra offers security and flexibility: for a small surcharge, which depends on the respective travel price, guests can rebook their flight package free of charge up to 15 days before the start of the journey - the return journey for FTI guests must take place by 30 April 2022 at the latest - or cancel. In this case, they will then receive their full travel price back minus the FLEXPLUS surcharge.

The amount of the fee is now graduated according to the respective travel price, starting from 58 euros surcharge for a travel price of up to 2,999 euros. Further graduated levels are set for travel prices up to 5,999 euros and up to 9,999 euros, with holidaymakers paying only 128 euros and 198 euros respectively for the greatest possible flexibility. A maximum of 298 euros is charged for the FLEXPLUS fare and only if the trip costs more than 10,000 euros.

The fare is valid for FTI Touristik flight package tours in the travel period from now until 30 April 2022, for the tour operator brand BigXtra until 31 October 2021, as well as on selected scheduled flight arrangements. Certain Only-Flight-Offers, for example selected flights to Egypt, Greece or to the Canary Islands, are included as well. Datamixx tours, dynamic X- and FTI360-bookings, cruises and BigXtra round trips are excluded from the upgrade options.

Fairness and flexibility also for hotel-only guests
In addition, since the beginning of March 2021, FTI Tourism holidaymakers have the option of cancelling many hotel-only bookings - even without a FLEXPLUS rate - free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the trip without having to give a reason. Hotel-only guests of BigXtra can now also benefit from these accommodating cancellation conditions when booking accommodation for a one-time service fee of 20 euros. It does not matter whether or not there is a travel warning in the respective destination. In the area of city breaks in Europe, a free cancellation option is still possible up to 2 p.m. the day before for most accommodation offers.
