FTI GROUP: All trips cancelled up to and including 14 June 2020

Munich, April 30, 2020 - The FTI GROUP is again adjusting its regulation due to the global situation and the current assessment of the German Foreign Office. As a precautionary measure, it is cancelling all tours of FTI Touristik, 5vorFlug, BigXtra and LAL Sprachreisen with departures up to and including June 14, 2020 for the German source market. This does not apply to bookings with departures to Germany, Austria, Poland, Switzerland and the Netherlands from 16 May to 14 June 2020 inclusive.

 Both travel agency partners and guests affected by the cancellations will be contacted directly and do not have to take any action. Due to the large number of corresponding bookings, the tour operator only asks for patience and understanding if there is a certain delay. 

"With this decision we are orienting ourselves on the statements of the German Foreign Office for holiday planning. At the same time, we see it as our duty to provide our guests with as much planning security as possible and are therefore cancelling trips up to and including June 14, 2020. Guests whose holidays can unfortunately no longer take place will receive all information about the cancellation, their FTI holiday credit plus the FTI-GROUP cash worth 200 euros and possible refunds in writing," says Ralph Schiller, FTI Group Managing Director. 
He continues: "We deliberately exclude from this regulation bookings for holidays in large parts of our Self Drive Product. The reason for this is that we are expecting possible bilateral agreements with the above-mentioned countries to allow entry and holiday stays before 14 June 2020. Especially in view of the oncoming school holidays, we want to be able to keep the corresponding options open for our guests. However, should guests wish to actively cancel or rebook, they can do so free of charge".
