FTI GROUP: All trips cancelled until 30th of April 2020

The FTI GROUP will cancel its travel program up to (including) 30th of April 2020. The tour operator actively contacts travel agency partners and customers.

After the German Federal Foreign Office has upped travel warnings against unnecessary tourist trips until at least the end of April, the FTI GROUP will cancel its travel program up to (including) 30th of April 2020. The tour operator actively contacts travel agency partners and customers.

Munich, 24th March 2020 – The FTI GROUP adapts its regulation to the current travel warning of the German Federal Foreign Office and actively cancels trips with departures up to and including 30th of April 2020. This regulation comes into force for all its tour operators such as FTI Touristik, 5vorFlug, BigXtra and LAL Sprachreisen, all types of travel and for the source markets Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Both travel agency partners and guests are contacted directly and do not have to take any action. Due to the large number of bookings, the tour operator only asks for patience and understanding if there is a certain delay.

"We have again reacted to the reassessment of the German Foreign Office and are cancelling holidays with departures until 30th of April as of today," explains Dietmar Gunz, FTI Group Managing Director. "The current situation is changing so rapidly at the moment and we are heavily dependent on external circumstances over which we have no influence. Therefore, we have taken the current developments as well as the requirements of the German government as an opportunity to reassess the situation and adjust our regulations for the safety of our guests".

The tour operator has also extended the "Carefree rebooking" campaign for insecure customers. From now on, guests can postpone their planned holidays with the tour operator brand FTI Touristik until winter season 2020/21. This applies to all bookings with departures in the period between 1st of April and 30th of June 2020 and must be rebooked at least ten days before departure. The latest return date of the "new" holiday must be 30th of April 2021. The rebooking fee of 30 Euro or 50 Euro per person is waived by FTI for its customers.
