The FTI GROUP promotes inclusion throughout the Group and, as a pilot project for the advancement of women, held special workshops in Egypt in May with female employees of the destination agency Meeting Point Egypt, the FTI GROUP's own hotels and the service provider RedSea24.
According to estimates by the International Labor Organization (ILO), women make up around 60 percent of tourism employees worldwide, but they often work under different conditions and for less pay than their male colleagues. The FTI GROUP wants to promote inclusion at all of its locations and, among other things, has launched a diversity and inclusion initiative to empower and raise awareness for women in the company. Starting with a series of tailored workshops on women's empowerment, several workshops were held in Egypt from May 16 to 20, 2022. Over 50 female employees from the destination management company Meeting Point Egypt, the service provider RedSea24 and from FTI's own hotels in Egypt - the LABRANDA Royal Makadi, the LABRANDA Club Makadi, the LABRANDA Club Paradiso in El Gouna and the LABRANDA Tower Bay in Sharm El Sheikh - took part.
With the first round of these workshops, the FTI GROUP encourages and supports women in tourism to develop their skills and strengthen their careers. With measures like these, the Group is creating a more diverse and inclusive work environment. Women's advancement programs in many other countries where the FTI GROUP has locations are already in the works.
