62 new junior employees for the FTI GROUP

In September, a new year group has started its career in the FTI GROUP.  At the Munich headquarters, learners are trained in tourism, media, office management, media design and IT.

On 3 September, a total of 62 talented people took their first career step and began their training in the FTI GROUP. 50 of the learners are trained at the company's Munich headquarters. In addition to 42 tourism clerks specialising in travel arrangements, travel agencies and business trips, the FTI GROUP is also training five office management clerks, an IT specialist for application development and a media designer for video and sound in the Bavarian capital this year. Training to become a media clerk is also being offered for the first time.

At FTI's other German locations in Deggendorf and Erfurt, seven and five young talents respectively have kicked off their training as tourism clerks. As of September 1, 2018, the Group had 183 trainees at all three locations across all areas and training years. With our training programme, we are counteracting the shortage of skilled workers in a very practical way," says Ralph Schiller, Group Managing Director of the FTI GROUP, who is pleased with the new faces in the company.

During their time with the company, the junior employees are supervised by a team of six. The training management, led by Angela Jahncke-Tagliapietra, Head of Trainee & Intern Department, ensure that practical training is made possible and that the young talents can get a taste of as many areas of the company as possible. "After the usually one-year spent working in the main department, the employees get to spend short periods in other areas and departments". A number of initiatives also offer sufficient opportunities to discover and deepen one's own strengths. The possibility of an internship abroad and study trips to the tour operator's destination areas are the main attractions to the programme. The trainees are also involved in various teams and charitable projects, organise their own events for their colleagues or report on their daily work on social media.

The next learners will finish their apprenticeship in February 2019. Anyone interested in an apprenticeship at the FTI GROUP can find further information at www.ausbildungbyfti.de.
