The Corona Travel Protection can be added from 9.90 euros

Travelers who want to protect themselves financially play it safe with the Corona Travel Protection. It covers cancellation fees if the vacation cannot be taken due to a positive Corona test shortly before departure.

Guests who make a new booking with the tour operator brands FTI Touristik, BigXtra or 5vorFlug by October 31, 2021, can now include the optional Corona Travel Protection (Corona Reiseschutz). It can be added for 9.90 euros per booking and provides holidaymakers with financial protection, particularly shortly before the start of the trip. If the guest is tested positively for Corona at the earliest 72 hours before departure and therefore cannot start the journey, insurance partner HanseMerkur takes over the cancellation costs at a value of up to 1,500 euro per person.
On top, the Corona Travel Protection also includes coverage during the trip itself: In addition to travel medical advice, information and assistance via a 24/7 emergency hotline during the trip, it provides an accident insurance up to 25,000 euros in the destination area.

The Corona Travel Protection is available for the travel period up to a maximum of October 31, 2022.
