At the Congress of the German Travel Association (Deutscher Reiseverband, DRV) on 14 October 2022, as scheduled, the members elected their new Executive Board for the next three years. Norbert Fiebig was confirmed as President with a clear majority at the General Assembly. The representation of medium-sized tour operators - the so-called Pillar C - also remains unchanged in terms of personnel: In addition to Johannes Zurnieden and Pascal Zahn, Ralph Schiller, CEO of the FTI Group, was elected once again. Schiller is convinced: "Only if distribution and tour operators speak with one voice can we lead tourism into the future and become a role model for topics such as sustainability or digitalisation."
The DRV represents the interests of the German travel industry at the political level in public on national and international stage.
